Introduction Video To Nuts
Full Nuts
Also known as hex nuts, full nuts are the most widely used type of nut and are typically fastened to a bolt thread using a socket or spanner.
Our full nut sizes range from M6 to M16, all of which are made from bright zinc plated steel and conform to the standard of DIN 934 Grade 8.
Nyloc Nuts
Nyloc nuts are most commonly used in applications where there is a risk of vibration or movement that could loosen or undo a regular nut. They get their name as an abbreviation of nylon insert self-locking nuts and feature a nylon collar which is what locks it in place as it is tightened by squeezing the threads of the bolt being used.
While nyloc nuts can be re-used, we would advise against this as their effectiveness is reduced with every usage. Our nyloc nut range is made up of the type P variety and features a wide range of sizes from M6 to M12, all of which are made from bright zinc plated steel.
Wing Nuts
Wing nuts are a unique type of nut in the way that they can be tightened fully by hand, without the need of tools and are therefore most often used in low-torque applications where they may need to be tightened, adjusted, or removed frequently.
We stock bright zinc plated steel wing nuts in a variety of sizes, ranging from M6 to M12.
